I copied and pasted this from Matilda Ziegler Magazine. I've seen a number of people on here bring up the topic of depression, so I hope this helps.

Depression. Debbie Golden has started a Google support
group for people who suffer from anxiety and depression and who
want to chat with others who are suffering. Send a blank e-mail
to anxiety-depression-support-subscribe@googlegroups.com.

Thanks Becky. Looks like it might be a good resource.

Matilda Ziegler? Lord I didn't know they still made that magazine. It used to be one of my favorites. I wonder if they still publish each issue in Moon Braille?

I have no idea what Moon Braille is. I just started getting it recently because a friend recommended it. I get it sent to my e-mail in box once a month, and the best part is, it is free.

Ok, I used to run a group for this on smartgroups, it just so happens that people didn't even post so it folded in the end, so I hope this group is more successful.

Danielle, I'm not becky, but I do believe that anyone can subscribe to that magazine, i've seen a coppy as the lady who used to live in the flat above me gets it.

Where do you get it from though? What is in it etc?

Post 9 by Twinklestar09 (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Sunday, 21-Jan-2007 19:58:18

Yes, people all over the world can get it. I think it is especially designed for blind people as there is not a print version, but probably anyone would be able to sign up as it is free and I don't think it really requires any papers to send to them. It's available in Braille, cassette, email, and diskette. All I had to do was send them an email expressing interest in receiving it and with my name and address, and I think that's all you have to do. But anyways, so you can get an idea of what kinds of things are on it (and some of what is on the current issue), the webpage for the Ziegler is at: http://www.zieglermag.org.

Sorry I didn't se this earlier Danielle to answer your question. But yes, go to their website and subscribe to it in Braille, tape, or e-mail. It has a variety of subjects. It also has a pen pal section and a special notices section which often has information blind people would be interested in. People from all over the world subscribe and write letters that get published in it.

Sending blank e-mail to the address provided gives you a e-mailed subscription to the magazine? Or what?

Post 13 by coryJ (Veteran Zoner) on Sunday, 18-Feb-2007 22:34:37

How long does it take you to get approved?

Post 14 by blbobby (Ooo you're gona like this!) on Monday, 19-Feb-2007 0:35:13

I'm not sure what sending a blank email will get you. I sent a message saying I had read their magazine a long time ago and asking for further instructions for signing up.

About a week later they sent me the current issue and have been sending me magazines each month since.

I really wasn't worried, though, because my good friend buckeye fan sent me a copy of her magazine as soon as she got it. Love technology, no mo borrowing magazines and then wondering when you were going to finish it so you could return it.

However, Becky stop it! My mailbox is full. *just kidding.

Thought of the day: "No good deed shall go unpunished."

Bob,
Loved your positive thought for the day.
I tried sending a blank e-mail, but then I received a repsonse saying I needed to go to this website. After doing that, and after reading through their (Google's) "terms of service," I was instructed to reate Google account, and had difficulty. If I give someone the ecssary information for signing e p, would someone be willing to help me n hat regard?
Please e-mail me at my school address, which you can find very easily because it is located in my profile if you go to the link that says: "Send an e-mail to Cory J," if you are willing to do this for me.
